Tallink Star Shuttle from Finland has requested a digital media signage solution for their ferry named M/S Star, which can accommodate a maximum of 1,900 passengers and 450 automobiles on multiple car decks. Based on Talllink Star Shuttle's requirements, each of the 29 different-sized digital signage displays is attached to a networked SMP-PRO2 Media Player. The complete system is controlled via a web-based user interface on CAYIN’s CMS Content Management Server at the snack bar; there are altogether 10 displays with different menus and price tickers. At the shop and entrance areas, the customized digital signage displays show advertisements and prices using lobbyPost. In addition, digital advertising signs are implemented at the ice-cream bar, hamburger bar, pizzeria, snack bar, entrance and the shop areas to establish the service quality of the cruise.
